Frequently Asked Questions

QUESTION

Where are you based and do you travel for weddings outside of Switzerland?

ANSWER

I live in Zurich and travel all over Europe for weddings. I usually spend January to March in South Africa, so if you’re getting married in Cape Town around this time, please let me know.

QUESTION

Where do I find your price list?

ANSWER

Please get in touch via my contact form - I'd love to hear about you, your wedding and what you’re looking for, and I'll put together a personal offer for you. Prices start from around CHF950 for civil ceremony coverage, and CHF3500 for full day wedding coverage.

QUESTION

Do you also speak German?

ANSWER

‘Es bitzeli’. I can get by, but I understand more than I speak.

QUESTION

How long does it take to get my pictures?

ANSWER

After your wedding the editing process begins. You'll receive your images between 6 -12 weeks after your wedding date (depending on the time during wedding season), delivered as jpegs in colour and black and white, via a private online gallery. USB's are also available on request.

QUESTION

How many pictures do you usually deliver?

ANSWER

Depending on your chosen collection, you'll receive around 200-600 high resolution jpegs in colour and black and white.

QUESTION

How would you describe your style?

ANSWER

For the most part of the day, my style is best described as documentary (or photojournalistic) mixed with some natural, timeless (or ‘fine art’) portraits. Capturing genuine, spontaneous emotion is the driving force behind my work and why I prefer to stand back and let your day unfold naturally, capturing the atmosphere, details and genuine affection that makes your day uniquely your own.

QUESTION

How much time should we set aside for couple portraits on the wedding day?

ANSWER

It’s really up to you how much time you'd like to spend away from your guests, but I would suggest setting aside 20 -60 min for your photos during the day (taking into account any travelling time to or from locations) and an extra 10-15 minutes if possible during 'golden hour', for that lovely soft warm light at the end of the day.

QUESTION

Will you take formal family / group portraits on the day?

ANSWER

Of course - but I'd suggest that these are limited to no more than 10 pictures. That way I have more time to capture natural, candid portraits of you and your guests enjoying themselves.

QUESTION

Do you also offer albums & prints?

ANSWER

Yes! You'll find a selection of these and other products available in your online gallery store. Albums are usually designed and printed once wedding season is over (Nov-March)

QUESTION

Do you hold dates without a deposit or signed contract?

ANSWER

Unfortunately not. A booking fee of your chosen package, plus a signed contract is required in order to get your wedding day on the calendar. Two weeks prior to your wedding, the remainder of the balance is due.

QUESTION

How long have you been a wedding photographer?

ANSWER

I started shooting weddings around 10+ years ago, when a friend asked me to document her wedding. I loved every minute of it, and eventually went full time as a wedding photographer in 2014.

QUESTION

Do you work alone?

ANSWER

For weddings of up to 80 people I usually work alone, but if you're having a larger wedding, I would recommend having a 2nd photographer present.

QUESTION

What do we do if our wedding needs to be postponed?

ANSWER

If your wedding needs to be rescheduled, your booking fee can be transferred to a new date within 1 year of your original date, at no additional cost, or used as credit for a portrait or family session.
